Practical guide

Fix a missing event, picture or sound

Follow separate checks instead of repeatedly reconnecting everything.

What you will be able to doYou can identify the broken stage without resetting an unrelated connection or live state.

Before you start

  • The intended iTok account, control window and streaming scene.
  • A concrete example: what event occurred, what you expected and when it happened.

1. Is TikTok actually connected?

Check the current connection state and the correct username. A saved account, an open desktop window or an overlay heartbeat is not the same thing as a verified LIVE connection.

If the account is offline, you can still prepare many settings, but live viewer events will not arrive. If a capacity or provider error is shown, follow that message. Reconnecting repeatedly cannot bypass a provider limitation.

2. Are events reaching iTok?

Look for the event in iTok’s current activity or relevant tool history. If it is absent, record its name and approximate time and investigate the feed. If it is present, move downstream to the configured rule, game, goal or score.

For a missed action, inspect its enablement, filter, cooldown and pause state. For a game command, also check the current player and turn. Do not reset live totals to test an effect.

3. Does the source have the saved picture?

  • Confirm the scene and widget are visible in the saved on-air composition.
  • If Live edits is off, apply the reviewed draft with Show on stream.
  • Check whether the copied source is live-edit or fitted.
  • Check the source dimensions, crop, transform and ordering in the streaming software.
  • Compare the iTok view with OBS or LIVE Studio before comparing the public video.

4. Is audio routed to the broadcast?

Start with the intended Play or test control and the local meter. If you hear the sound locally, check capture and mixer settings in the streaming software. If you hear it twice, inspect duplicate output sources and desktop capture.

A silent individual widget link is expected. A Sounds & TTS source, full-overlay output or the appropriate device-audio capture must provide the sound. Music metadata and camera video are not substitutes for audio capture.

Report the evidence that helps

Include the tool, operating system, app or browser version, approximate event time, expected result, actual result and whether the issue appears in iTok, the streaming preview or only the public video. Redact private source links and account information.

For delay reports, distinguish event arrival, processing, source display and broadcast delivery. A controlled comparison needs the same event and synchronized timestamps; a fast local test is not proof of end-to-end live timing.

These instructions describe the reviewed iTok beta. Provider access and physical-device behavior still need to be checked in your setup.
