Beta information

Privacy, in plain words.

iTok is an independent beta. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by TikTok. This page explains what the beta stores, why, and how to delete it.

Last updated 12 October 2026

Your account

You sign in with your email address and a 6-digit code we email you, sent through our email provider, Resend (privacy policy). We store your email address, a random account number, and for each browser you sign in on, a scrambled copy of its sign-in cookie. Codes are only stored scrambled, expire after 10 minutes and work once.

Cookies

iTok sets one cookie, itok_session, to keep you signed in. It lasts 30 days and renews while you use iTok. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, so there’s nothing to accept.

Studio and overlays

Your overlay settings are saved in this browser. When you create an overlay link we store it with your account, together with its settings and the most recent overlay content (the latest chat messages and alert) so your streaming software can display them. Overlay links expire after seven days without updates.

Desktop app and previews

The desktop app loads the same website in a separate browser profile on your device. Its sign-in cookie and any owner settings are stored separately from your usual browser. The public studio preview uses sample data, does not save tool settings and does not connect to your LIVE or local companion. The desktop app does not install or start streaming software.

Your overlay link

Your overlay link contains a private viewing key. Anyone with the link can view the overlay, so only paste it into your streaming software. “Create a new link” in the studio replaces it and the old link stops working immediately.

Live connections

To connect your LIVE, iTok saves the TikTok username you enter to your account, so the studio can connect automatically next time. iTok never asks for your TikTok password. Live event data (gifts, follows, shares, likes, viewer counts and chat from your public LIVE) comes from a third-party TikTok LIVE data provider, Euler Stream: iTok’s server asks it for a short-lived connection limited to your username, and your studio receives the events through that connection. Euler Stream processes connection requests and stream data under its own privacy policy. Viewers’ profile pictures and gift images in the studio and overlay load straight from TikTok’s servers.

Voices

The built-in browser voice runs on the computer that shows your overlay. If ElevenLabs voices are turned on for your account, the text to be read aloud (alert text, and chat messages you choose to have read) is sent from iTok’s server to ElevenLabs to create the audio, under its own privacy policy.

Beta requests

When you request access we store your name, email address, TikTok username and streaming software so we can run the beta and contact you about it. These details are never shown publicly.

Hosting and security

iTok runs on Cloudflare, which handles every request to the site (including your IP address) to deliver pages and protect them from abuse (privacy policy). To limit sign-in attempts and other requests, iTok keeps short-lived counters stored in scrambled form; they expire within a day. The site has no advertising and no third-party analytics scripts.

Your choices

You can disconnect your LIVE at any time in the studio, and reset this browser’s overlay settings on the studio’s Setup page.

While signed in, Delete my stored data on the Setup page deletes your account: your saved TikTok username, your overlay links (they stop working straight away), any beta request made with your account email, your sign-in on every device, and the account itself. You’re signed out afterwards. You can sign in again with the same email at any time; that starts a new, empty account. If you requested beta access with a different email, sign in with that email and delete it the same way.

Deleted data can stay in our database provider’s automatic backups for up to 30 days before it’s gone for good.
