Practical guide

Before each show and after you finish

Repeat a short preparation routine without resetting a working live setup.

What you will be able to doYou have a repeatable preparation and closing routine, with manual confirmation kept distinct from automatic connection evidence.

Before you start

  • Your intended account, streaming scene and saved iTok profile.
  • Time for a short check before the audience-facing segment begins.

Prepare the saved setup

  1. Confirm the account, active scene, portrait/landscape choice and source dimensions.
  2. Review unapplied layout edits, enabled event rules, voice eligibility and sound levels.
  3. Check any required local companion, OBS target or music provider. Prepared configuration is not proof of a live connection.
  4. Check the physical streaming preview and the intended audio capture before relying on either.

Confirm this LIVE separately

When the LIVE starts, check the room connection and arriving events. Then confirm the actual picture and sound in the streaming software. A check from yesterday’s source or a previous scene should not certify today’s setup.

The Before this show panel keeps manual picture/audio confirmation separate from live evidence. Use its explicit test entry only when an on-stream test is appropriate. Opening the checklist sends nothing.

Keep changes deliberate during the show

Use Preview when you want to prepare a change privately, and Show on stream when you are ready to apply it. Check which source or scene you are controlling before hiding, flipping or resizing a widget.

Use the relevant queue or decision history for a missed response. Avoid repeated blanket reconnects or resets when only one rule, source or audio route needs attention.

Finish and prepare for next time

  1. Use the intended ending or current-scene control and inspect the result.
  2. Stop or leave running only the integrations and command modes you deliberately need next.
  3. Save intended profile changes and keep a working backup before importing another setup.
  4. Record any issue with its tool, time and expected result. Review private feedback before submitting a duplicate report.

Did this help you finish the task?

These instructions describe the reviewed iTok beta. Provider access and physical-device behavior still need to be checked in your setup.
